Jockey Schwarz Suspended for Six Days Following Ride on Nordic Prince
The verdict is in. On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Denis Schwarz,
following his ride on Nordic
Prince during the first race of the
fifth day, was summoned and subsequently sanctioned by the horse
racing authorities.
The South African jockey was
found guilty under Article 43.2.1
for failing to take the necessary
measures to enable his mount to
win the race or achieve the best
possible position at the finish line.
As a result, he has been suspended for six race days and fined Rs
50,000.
Schwarz, the rider representing
Allet Stables, maintained his innocence throughout the proceedings.
Following the investigation, he
was informed of his right to appeal.
